About the item
Set of very cool looking rustic wicker and oak low stools – chairs. Will fit easily in any modernist and contemporary interior with their rough looking brutalist design. The stools consist of a dark oak frame with wicker seats and the dark oak frame has been sculpted in the fashion of Charles Dudouyt with the typical round boll carvings at the top. The chairs have been built very solid and the combination of the wicker and oak wood is simply amazing due to its simplicity.
The seat height is 34 cm so they can be used as low chairs or stools.
The exact provenance of the chairs is known although they bare a lot of similarities with the Rush chairs by Charles Dudouyt. They have likely been produced in France in the 40s or 50s.
About its condition
In overall good condition with some normal patina on the wood visible. The wicker is still in good condition however on one chair the wicker has become somewhat rough. This has no influence on the usability.
One of the chairs have some vilt under the feet therefore there is a small difference in height. This can be solved easily by removing the vilts. The chairs are of exact same dimension.
