Les arcs pine cabinets by Charlotte Perriand for Les Arcs, set of 4
About the item
Designed and commissioned by Charlotte Perriand during the 60s and 70s, the Les Arcs furniture was specifically aimed for its intended purpose; solid and functional furniture for the French wintersport enthousiast. The Les Arcs furniture was carefully designed and curated by Charlotte Perriand to reflect the functionality for its intended purpose on the one hand, and on the other hand to provide for a consistently elegant and useful decoration of the rooms of Les Arcs. The rooms were decorated in such a manner that the limited space was used optimally, often suiting entire families in a relatively small living space. The Les Arcs 1600 station still exists to this day, however many of the rooms have been refurbished over time. Hence, many of the Les Arcs pieces have become available in the market.
The cabinets here are in the typical Les Arcs fashion; sober yet elegant and produced out of solid elm. The cabinets are in particularly patterned fashion with the typical round shaped inverted door handles. The cabinets still have the original white laying trays. The sliding drawers on top finish the entire look.
The set here consists of 2 lower 2-door cabinets, 1 smaller cabinet (half the width) and 1 small night stand.
The dimensions of the cabinets;
2 x 100 cm width, 85 cm height, 46 cm depth
1 x 52 cm width, 85 cm height, 46 cm depth
