About the item
Iconic design by Pierre Paulin (1927-2009). One of his more known designs since inception in the 60s. This design has strong interest from many design enthousiasts over the world and in particular the early editions of this chair are sought after.
This Tulip chair is a Tulip chair in second edition, with the square headrest, in the much sought after nickel crossfoot. Even though Artifort has started production of the crossfoot again in chrome plating, the older crossfoot in nickel is in higher esteem with enthousiasts.
This Tulip chair is in original condition however it has been reupholstered several years ago in cherry red Buvetex fabric.
About its condition
The chair is in a good vintage condition and fully solid. The chair was reupholstered some years ago. The fabric has some wrinkles on the seating part, which is a common thing for Big Tulips and the chair is perfectly usable as is. The cross foot shows some beautiful patina.
