Art deco oak and marble bar cabinet in the manner of Charles Dudouyt France 1930s
About the item
Beautifully sculpted solid oak art-deco/art-nouveau chest of drawers, ideally suited as a bar cabinet due to its dimensions.
Sculpted oak patterns in the typical style of Charles Dudouyt, with 3 central sliding drawers and 2 side drawers with a hinging door and metal knobs. On top is a sculpted red marble plate.
This cabinet was handmade in France in the 30s. The style is somewhere in between Charles Dudouyt (sculpted doors) and Gaston Poisson (use of marble).
An exact provenance is unknown since no recognizable signs nor literature have been found on the piece.
About its condition
The bar cabinet is in very good and original condition, with some discoloration visible. The marble plate is in excellent condition.
